BERLIN, Vt. - The Vermont Department of Human Resources is trying to fill 90 jobs by summer.  It's for the brand new Vermont psychiatric care hospital in Berlin.

The old facility was destroyed in Tropical Storm Irene in 2011.

The 25 bed hospital requires psychiatric nurses, mental health specialists as well as other staff members.

A job fair was held Monday where several dozen people applied. Some people from the former facility will end up in Berlin too.

"We actually have sent out letters to 40 individuals who previously worked at the hospital, giving them the right to a first refusal basically," Kate Duffy, Commissoner of Vermont Department of Human Resources, said.  "Ten of those folks have agreed to come back and work for us."

If you're interested in working at the Green Mountain Psychiatric Care Center, the job fair continues Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Vermont HR office in Berlin.
