LYNDONVILLE, Vt. - Kennametal is closing their Lyndoville facility this summer.

The facility is expected to close around June 30. Eighty people will be laid off.

The Corporate Communications Manager Christina Sutter says it was a difficult decision, but necessary to keep the company competitive.

Kennametal says it's working to make sure the workers get help to transition to new jobs.

The company provides wear-resistant products for metalworking, mining, and construction.
