MONTPELIER, Vt. - Vermont restaurants are one step closer to being able to serve samples of four beers at a time.

S.299 passed with a vote of 5-0 out of the Senate Economic Development Committee and will now head to the Senate floor.

Right now, restaurants can only serve two malt beverages at a time. Brew-pubs can serve four.

The bill would give everyone the same opportunity to try the many craft beers available in Vermont.

It was sparked by the Vermont Tap House. Check out our story with the Tap House here.
