Man Accused of Intentionally Setting His Home on Fire

BRANDON, Vt. - A man is accused of intentionally setting his home on fire. 

A press release says on Monday morning fire crews responded to a fire at a residence on Carver Street in Brandon. Firefighters were able to put the fire out at the residence. 

Police say this was the second fire at the home in a 24 hour period. Crews responded to a small fire in the basement on Sunday. 

Detectives met with the homeowners, 33-year-old Ethan  McArdle and Rebecca McArdle.  Ethan was arrested Monday evening and charged with first degree arson and reckless endangerment. 

Ethan is due in court in June.
