BURLINGTON, Vt. - A Burlington man arrested for attempted homicide this weekend is now being charged with aggravated domestic assault.

David Godin, 34, faced a judge on Monday for three separate disturbances on Sunday.

Police say Godin was harassing a woman who he knew. Apparently he kicked in her front door, took her phone, and strangled her.

She did receive medical attention, but wasn't hospitalized.

Godin is due back in court this Friday. He also faces a second degree burglary charge.

If convicted,  Godin could spend up to 34 years in prison.
