Man Rescued After Fall into Winooski

WINOOSKI, Vt. - Crews rushed to the Winooski River around 6 p.m. Wednesday after a fisherman slipped and fell into the river.

The Winooski Fire Department says the fisherman slipped on wet rocks, and fell a short distance. It happened near the dam and the Salmon Hole.

The man was quickly rescued and transported to the hospital with injuries to his back and possibly head, according to crews on scene.
