BURLINGTON, Vt. - A Brooklyn man was sentenced for approximately five years for conspiring to distribute cocaine and heroin in the Burlington area.

Andrew Hollins, 27, of Brooklyn, N.Y., aka "Thuggin", was arrested in June 2013 at the Quality Inn in Colchester after police executed a search warrant. While officers were trying to open the door, court documents say Hollins was trying to hold the door closed so that his associate could flush drugs and money down the toilet.

Police were able to get the door open and pull $8,000 in cash, 31.8 grams of heroin, and 54.3 grams of crack cocaine from the toilet.

Hollins pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute cocaine and heroin in January.

Hollins was also ordered to 3 years supervised release after being released from prison.
