BURLINGTON, Vt. - A man was sentenced on Thursday for robbing the People's United Bank in South Burlington last year.

A press release says David Parker, 53, was sentenced to more than 5 years in jail. He is also ordered to pay back the bank $109 that was not recovered during his arrest. He was also sentenced to 3 years supervised release.

On the day of the robbery, court documents say arresting officers were able to recover majority of the money.

Earlier this year, Parker pleaded guilty to the robbery.
