NH Man injured in snowmobile crash

CHARLESTON, VT-  UPDATE: A New Hampshire man is in critical condition Sunday after crashing his snowmobile.


Vermont State Police say a New Hampshire man was injured in a snowmobile crash Saturday.

It happened just before 7pm along a trail in Charleston.

The operator, 52-year-old Don Wilson of Windham, NH was traveling east, when police said he failed to negotiate a right hand turn, and thrown from the snowmobile and collided with a tree.

Wilson was transported to the hospital wth internal injuries.

Charleston Fire Dept, Derby Line Ambulance, Newport Ambulance, VT Fish & Wildlife, and Brighton Police Dept assisted with the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

It happened just before 7PM Saturday, along a trail in Charleston.

Vermont State Police said Don Wilson, 52, of Windham failed to make a right-hand turn, and was thrown from the snowmobile and collided with a tree.

Wilson was taken to the hospital for numerous fractures.

While the crash is under investigation, police want to remind snowmobilers to pay attention to signs and drive a reasonable speed.
