ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. -  It's been rumored that IBM's Vermont plant is closing. A plan to save it has been endorsed on Wednesday.

The Board of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce voted to support an economic development plan that will back the current and successor owners of IBM in Essex.

The plan will help GBIC who recruited IBM to vermont, keep more than 4,000 jobs that are at IBM in essex and help bring new business to the area.
