Police Find 3 Pounds of Marijuana During Traffic Stop

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. - Bellows Falls Police find three pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Williams Street Extension. Police also found prescription pills.

Police say the marijuana was packaged in freezer wrapped packaging and was believed to have come from Michigan for distribution in the Bellows Falls area.

Police arrested and charged Amber Parson, of Jackson, Mich., with possession of a controlled drug and attempting to dispense marijuana. Ashley Buffum, of Langdon, N.H., was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. 

Parson was held on $20,000 cash or bond and Buffum was held on $10,000 cash or bond. 

Vermont State Police assisted in the incident.
