Police Investigating Rutland Armed Robberies

WEST RUTLAND, Vt. - Two armed robberies in Rutland county have police on alert. The first happened just after 8 p.m. Monday night in West Rutland.

Police say a woman went into the Family Dollar on Westway Mall Drive, showed a gun, and then took off. About 4 hours later, someone with a similar description hit the Cumberland Farms on North Main in Wallingford, Vt.

The woman is described as being 5'2" with a petite build.
