Police: Man Steals Alcohol, Then Car to Escape Arrest

BRISTOL, Vt. - Bristol Police say a man who stole alcohol from Cumberland Farms also stole a car to escape arrest. The car was parked behind Cubbers.

According to police, the owner of the car left her car to let it warm up and when she returned she found the man behind the wheel. She started yelling and the man took off. 

Police say the man who stole the vehicle has been identified. A possible accomplice to the vehicle theft has also been identified. Police are still trying to locate the possible accomplice and the vehicle, a brown 2005 Volvo CX7 with Vermont plate number FDF849.

A statewide BOL was issued. Police say they are working with multiple agencies in New York and Vermont on possible locations of the vehicle and one suspect.
