Police: Prisoner Tries to Sneak Marijuana Into Correctional Facility

RUTLAND, Vt. - A prisoner tried to sneak marijuana into the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility on Saturday.

Police say they found 0.3 ounces of marijuana concealed in his body cavity when they transported Henry Lewis, 44, of Fair Haven, Vt., to the correctional facility. He was being moved awaiting an arraignment on domestic assault, disorderly conduct, and providing false information to a police officer charges.

During processing, police say, he identified himself as 42-year-old Cyrus Morris. Police say during their investigation they found that Lewis has numerous aliases, including Morris, and a lengthy criminal history from various locations in New York.

Lewis was returned to the correctional facility after being arraigned on the initial charges on Monday.

He will be arraigned on transportation of regulated drugs into places of detention and false information to a police officer charges in September.
