Police Seize 1,500 Bags of Heroin During Drug Bust

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Vermont State Police, Colchester and Burlington Police Departments arrested multiple people during a drug investigation in Colchester and Burlington on Tuesday.
Police say while executing a search warrant on Hegeman Avenue, they found 1,500 bags of heroin and a large amount of U.S. currency.
Matthew Wilbert, 29, of Colchester, Vt., was cited for multiple felony charges for the sale of heroin. He was lodged on a parole violation. Magan Tsounis, 27, of Burlington, Vt., was cited for one count of felony sale of heroin. She was released with a citation.
Earlier on Tuesday police executed a search warrant at a home located on Harrison Avenue that was part of the drug investigation.
Adam Brown, 37, of Burlington, Vt., was arrested and charged with numerous felony charges for the sale of heroin. He was lodged for lack of $20,000 bail. Marquese Jone, 23, of Newark, N.J., was arrested and charged with one felony sale of heroin. He was lodged for lack of $50,000. Aliquan Umstead, 28, of Newark, N.J., was arrested and charged with numerous felony charges for selling heroin and conspiracy to traffic heroin. He was lodged for a lack of $10,000 bail. Jahil Marsh, 23, of Newark, N.J., was arrested and charged with one felony charge of conspiracy to traffic heroin. He was lodged for a lack of $10,000 bail.
Brown, Jones, Umstead, and Marsh were all lodged at the Chittenden Correctional Facility. They were arraigned on Wednesday.
The investigation is still ongoing and more arrests are expected.
