Police: Tractor Trailer Crashes, Catches Fire on I-91

PUTNEY, Vt. - Vermont State Police responded to a tractor trailer crash and accident on I-91 near Putney Tuesday morning. The crash happened at around 9:30 a.m. 

Police say the tractor trailer collided with a guard rail on the River Road South Bridge on I-91 north. Diesel fuel spilled across the northbound lanes. I-91 north was closed for several hours for Hazmat cleanup of the fuel.  

Police say the driver Michael Fraser, 45, of Killingworth, Conn., did not appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
