NEWPORT, Vt. - A woman is accused of ramming another person's car after an argument Monday night. The incident happened at around 7 p.m.
Vermont State Police say during the argument, Tina Matten, 43, of Newport Center, Vt., and the other individual had a brief struggle with a gun. The gun discharged a single round. No one was injured during the incident.
Both vehicles received moderate damage and were driven away from the scene prior to Vermont State Police arriving. Police say they received a call from a third party about the incident.
Matten is charged with reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, negligent operation. She was lodged for lack of $5,000 cash or bond.
Matten is due in court on Tuesday.
