BELLOWS FALLS, Vt.  - A woman is accused of writing fraudulent prescriptions after stealing a prescription pad from a doctor's office.

Vermont State Police say Kathleen Whitcomb, 35, of Acworth, N.H., wrote and filled five fraudulent prescriptions at a Rite Aid in Bellows Falls beginning on March 2, 2014 through  May 1, 2014.

Whitcomb was an employee at the family medical practice where the prescription pad was stolen.

Whitcomb was arrested on Wednesday and was cited to appear in court in July to answer to five counts of prescription fraud.
