FERRISBURGH, Vt. - The Addison County Humane Society has fun planned for pups and people Saturday! “Woofstock” takes place Saturday at the Basin Harbor Club in Ferrisburgh.

This year's activities begin with a walk and run at 9 A.M., then continue through 3 P.M.

Visitors will see dogs free style dancing, and demos from water rescue and disc dogs. Plus, this year features a first ever shelter dog parade.

"The hardworking staff of the Humane Society are coming out with quite a few of our dogs who are at the shelter looking for homes, and we've had volunteers sewing them 'adopt me' vests and they'll be right in the main arena, which is where they belong,” Executive Director Jessica Danyow said.

More than 25 doggie inspired vendors will also be there.

Admission to the events is $10 for adults, $4 for kids over 5. Kids under five and dogs are free.

The event benefits Homeward Bound: Addison County's Humane Society.
