Sold 'As Is', around 100 items were auctioned off
The highest bidders took home plow trucks, sleds, kayaks, and the list goes on.
Not too long ago, the state dismissed the idea of switching to online, which we're told in-person auctions are more preferred by potential buyers."People come to this auction because people know the State of Vermont takes care of their fleet. They are going to come in, they know what they are buying. In Vermont here its a tradition every year everyone comes down and knows what they are getting. At least this year it was beautiful and they got to have a great day," said RJ Klisiewicz, Operations Manager of Auctions International Inc..
The state expects to make up to $900,000 from the auction, which goes to the departments where the equipment came from.
