STOWE, Vt. - Police say the autopsy results are in for a married couple who died in a murder-suicide on April 17.

59-year-old Katherine Washburn died of blunt force trauma to the head. Police say her husband, 64-year-old Wayne Washburn killed her in their Stowe home where Washburn ran a ceramics business. She was a well-known artist in town.

Police say Wayne Washburn died on Carbon Monoxide poisoning and a drug overdose. They say he was sick with cancer at the time.

This was the first murder in Stowe since Patty Scoville was killed in 1991.
