COLCHESTER, VT- The Big Chill: Be a Hero for Epilepsy kicked off with a splash at Malletts Bay around on Sunday

Along with the 123 people who jumped, you might have recognized some friendly faces from ABC22.

David Hodges, Brittney Hibbs, Steve Glazier, Steph Machado, and others dove into the icy waters to raise awareness for epilepsy one shiver at a time.

We are proud sponsors of the 7th Annual Big Chill.

"When I first hit the water, I was just thinking keep going, keep going. I got cold but when i got out it was kind of refreshing, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be," said Bret Dale, Epilepsy Foundation of Vermont

Dale said about 6,000 people in Vermont are affected by epilepsy.
