VERMONT- It's a disease that knows no income levels, social status, age or race, and all are equally prone to addiction.

In an in-depth coversation with Vermont's Governor Peter Shumlin, we talk about the heroin and opiates crisis gripping the state.

He shares with us in detail about the problem that is causing an increase in crime, overdoses, and broken homes.

In addition, how this epidemic is shaping Vermont's reputation, and what's in the works to combat it.

"My point is simple. If we continue to turn our head to this crisis, not talk about it, not acknowledge it and not deal with it head on, we will compromise the one thing we cherish in Vermont, which is quality of life," said Governor Peter Shumlin.
