BURLINGTON, Vt. - Three men who capsized in a canoe were saved by two people paying close attention to their surroundings.

Mike Saucier and Amy Lipson used a kayak to tow the men to safety.

FOX 44 and ABC 22 is told that Lipson never used a kayak before last night.

A Burlington fire commander says Saucier watched the men leave from Oakledge Park. When he heard the calls for help, he knew it was them.

The men were treated for hypothermia and sent to Fletcher Allen. No word on how they're doing.

This is a good reminder to be careful on the lake as the water temperature is still low.
