ST. ALBANS, Vt. - Police responded to a truck that slid off the road and became stuck in Lake Road Cemetery on Friday.

Police say they left with Travis Rocheleau, 45, of St. Albans, Vt., to make arrangements for a wrecker to pull his 2004 Chevy truck from the ditch. A short time later, police were called back to the scene because the truck was on fire.

When police arrived, they found the truck fully engulfed in flames. Rocheleau was able to free his dog, which was trapped inside the truck. Police say the dog then ran off from excitement into the woods.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire. Rocheleau and his dog were treated for minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Albans Police Department at (802)-524-2166.
