Two Drug Raids Overnight in Winooski

WINOOSKI, VT- Two major drug raids in Winooski early Saturday morning, resulting in police finding multiple drugs, guns, and money.

Winooski Police said this happened around 3:30 in the morning.

The first search at an apartment on 61 Malletts Bay Avenue.

Police said they took heroin, crack cocaine, two firearms, and  a large amount of money from the residence.

They arrested 31-year-old Ernest Brown of Brooklyn, New York

He was taken to Chittenden County Correctional Facility on a $25,000 bail.

21-year-old Jesse McGuire of Winooski was also arrested on an outstanding state warrant.

Police executed the second search warrant at an apartment on 74 Malletts Bay Ave.

Along with the same drugs, police said they took a stolen handgun and more money.

They also took about 50 stolen electronic devices.

They arrested 33-year-old John Mota of Bronx, New York for felony possession of cocaine.

He was also taken to Chittenden County Correctional Center on $25,000 bail.

Winooski Police said the investigation is on-going and more charges are expected.
