KILLINGTON, Vt. - Two men are cited for shooting bears illegally earlier in August.

According to the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, Scott Keefer, 24, and Aaron Roucoulet, 20, both of Killington, Vt., will be arraigned in Rutland Superior Court in October.

Game Warden Timothy Carey responded to a report of a dead bear found in a backyard of a Killington residence. The bear was shot with rifle.

The department says Vermont’s two regulated bear hunting seasons this year are September 1- November 14, and November 15-23.
