UPDATE: Police identify body found in South Burlington Home

SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT- South Burlington police have released the name of the person found dead inside a South Burlington home Friday morning.

The victim is identified as  71-year-old Dorothy Marbach, the only resident at 105 Catkin Drive.

Police were called there for a welfare check.

Police said the investigation will continue, but said there is no need for the community to be alarmed.

SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT- Police are not yet releasing the name of the person found dead inside a South Burlington home.

Friday, police spent hours at the house at 105 Catkin Drive collecting evidence.

Police said the investigation will continue as a suspicious case until foul play can be ruled out.

They said no further information is expected to be released until early next week.

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. - Police are investigating the death of an individual found at a home on Catkin Drive on Friday. 

Police say at around 9:30 Friday morning, police arrived for a welfare check. That's when they found the body. 

The person's identity is being withheld until confirmed by the medical examiner. 

The death is still being investigated and police say they'll treat it as suspicious until fould play is ruled out.
