Colchester officer Jeremy Wyskiel pleaded not guilty Thursday to one count of driving under the influence.
According to court documents, police received at tip that Wyskiel, 36, of Colchester, drove home drunk from a bowling alley in Colchester, early Monday.
A witness reported to police that Wyskiel and a woman were arguing in the parking lot of the bowling alley before leaving, according to court documents.
“After some back and forth, and a few seat changes, the white female got into the rear passengers seat and the white male drove away,” the witness stated.
Documents say police caught up with Wyskiel at a home in Colchester. He was then brought to the Vermont State Police barracks in Williston for processing.
According to court records, Wyskiel took a breath test and blew a 0.217%, which is almost three times over the legal limit of .08%
Colchester Police Chief Jennifer Morrison said Wyskiel has been with the department since 2008. She said he is on paid administrative leave.
Wyskiel was arraigned Thursday morning at Vermont Superior Court in Burlington.
