VSAC Offering College Planning Events

WINOOSKI, Vt. - The Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) is hosting college planning events for students and parents in March and April.

A press release says the 13th annual College Pathways program will feature free workshops on preparing for education after high school. The workshops will cover a variety of topics, including writing a college application essay that stands out, strategies for taking SATs and ACTs, creating a college list that fits student needs and family finances, and understanding college costs and financial aid.

Here are the dates and locations for the events:
  • Saturday, March 15 at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (lunch provided)
  • Saturday, March 15 via Vermont Interactive Technologies in Bennington, Brattleboro, and Newport (11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).
  • Saturday, March 29 at Castleton State College in Castleton, 9 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. (lunch provided)
  • Monday evening, April 7 at Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, 4:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the Northeast Kingdom College Fair (dinner provided for workshop attendees).
