MONTPELIER, Vt. - The Vermont DMV is updating their interactive online driving tutorial.

A press release says the tutorial is designed to help new drivers prepare for their learner's permit exam. The interactive tutorial uses high-tech animation to help new drivers learn the rules of the road and educate them about the steps to getting a license or learner's permit.

Version 1.0 launched in November 2010 has, according to the VT DMV, become outdated. Recognizing new technology, the VT DMV is launching version 2.0 to ensure the tutorial works on all devices.

“With the explosive growth of mobile devices we recognized the tutorial needed to be updated to work on a variety of devices,” said DMV Commissioner Robert Ide.

Version 1.0 will be discontinued on April 1. To access Version 2 of the driving tutorial visit http://drivevermont.vermont.gov/ or http://dmv.vermont.gov/
