Vermont is looking to hire 90 people to work at its new psychiatric hospital in Berlin.

State officials will be holding a pair of ‘Jobs Day’ events this week for people interested in working at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital.

In addition to nurses with psychiatric experience, VPCH is hiring mental health specialists and support staff.

"Vermont needs the highest caliber of care providers to assist our citizens in need of acute care to
recover safely and quickly," said Mental Health Commissioner Paul Dupre. "The new Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital will provide the patients and staff with a secure and therapeutic environment for successful outcomes."

The Jobs Day events will be held on Monday, Feb. 24, and 27 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at 439 Industrial Lane, Berlin.

The new hospital is expected to open this summer.
