SWANTON, Vt. - A Northwest Correctional Facility inmate is accused of being in possession of drugs.

A press release says police found marijuana, loose tobacco, rolled joints, Buprenorphine pills and Suboxone strips in 39-year-old James Gaboriault's cell.

Gaboriault was initially taken into custody for failing to report to police as part of his conditions on an assault charge.

Gaboriault is due in court in April to answer to charges of possession of regulated drugs and transportation into places of detention.
