On Sunday night, Vermont State Police responded to two incidents of car vs. deer collisions.

Luckily, no one was hurt in either case. But it got us wondering--when do the most car vs. deer crashes happen?

We turned to Vermont Fish & Wildlife to get the numbers.

That's a total of 2,587 car vs. deer collisions in Vermont in 2013.

Director of Wildlife Mark Scott told us that November and December tend to be the highest because it's when deer are mating and it's during hunting season.
