BURLINGTON, Vt. - Those who knew Peighton Geraw are organizing a vigil to remember the 15-month-old boy.

Police ruled the boy's death a homicide.
In April, he was taken from an apartment in Winooski and brought to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner says he had trauma to the head and neck.

As of now, no one has been charged.
A vigil will be held this weekend to remember the toddler.

"We really want to put light to child abuse and do what we can to remember this boy in the light he should be remembered in, as an innocent child who didn't have a voice. We really wanted to give him a voice and do something positive for him," says Megan Webbley, who knew Peighton.

The sky lantern vigil is Sunday at 7:00pm at Battery Park in Burlington.

In Peighton's memory, they are asking people to donate to "Prevent Child Abuse Vermont."
