South Hero, Vt. - Volunteers got their paint brushes and power tools ready, all to help spruce up Camp Ta-Kum-Ta.
About 80 people from Keller Williams Reality were at the camp in South Hero, Vt. They were getting the grounds ready for campers, who will be coming to spend a week at the camp.
The children who spend their summer there all have or have had cancer in their lifetime.
Folks from the camp say what they do for these families wouldn't be possible without the help of many volunteers.
"So we couldn't operate this 103 acre facility without these volunteers," Lindsay Longe, the Director of Development at Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, said. "We have a over a thousand volunteers who come up as individuals, as part of large or small companies, to work on this facility. From weeding to painting to building bunks."
All of the kids will be there in July for a week full of fun activities.
Camp Ta-Kum-Ta works all year long, providing programming for Vermont families impacted by cancer.
