Weather: Clouds and Spotty Showers Sunday (6/24/17)

Torrance's Forecast Discussion

Torrance's Forecast: - Hello, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far! After another round of showers early morning we are looking at calm weather to only last another day. Otherwise we are sitting under a mixture of clouds with temperatures slowly falling back into the 70s this evening. A weak disturbance does drop out of southern Quebec tonight, that may pop up a stray shower. Otherwise heading into the overnight ours we are mostly clear to partly cloudy across the region. Tonight's lows should fall to near seasonable, on either side of 60°. Along with that, our dewpoints have dropped back to the 50s, that will make for better sleeping weather. With the cooler temperatures, a few areas that cool off to the middle and upper 50s may see fog develop.

The patchy morning fog will lift, allowing for sunshine for most the morning hours. But the clear skies will be short lived, as our next weak disturbance swings out of Quebec. Once again clouds and spotty showers likely into the afternoon hours. Along with a rumble of thunder, that is not out of the question. Expect cooler daytime highs, they will struggle across the region to reach the low and middle 70s.

Looking ahead, the weather isn't going to deviate by much. A longwave trough across Canada is holding it's ground, and we continue to see these weak disturbances spinning off of that. This will give us a daily shot of clouds and showers into late next week. Temperatures will also take a dive for the start of the week with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s Monday and Tuesday. A tad warmer Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the middle to upper 70s. Come late next week we should return to seasonable highs in the low 80s.

Have a great day!
