Weather: Clouds, Scattered Showers, and Cooler for Friday (6/16/17)

Torrance's Forecast Discussion

Torrance's Forecast: - Good morning, and happy Friday!

Clouds and scattered showers to kick off the start of Father's Day Weekend thanks to an area of low pressure and frontal system. As a warm front lift across the region today expect clouds and showers, the heaviest have already moved east across northern New Hampshire and western Maine. With the clouds about during the day, it will limit the amount of daytime heating and keep our daytime highs lower than average. Across New York's North Country a few more peaks of sun will allow temperatures to reach the low 70s. Across the Champlain Valley we are lucky to reach the middle and upper 60s, and eastern Vermont the low 60s. During the day winds will be gusting out of the south from 15-25mph.

Skies tonight will slowly clear, becoming partly cloudy with showers wrapping up. That will allow us to start our Saturday off with blue skies, an awesome start to the weekend. Temperatures will climb to the middle 80s during the day, giving the atmosphere some fuel for a couple afternoon showers. Sunday for Father's Day will be similar, we should see more clouds than Saturday with highs approaching 90°. Clouds and scattered showers and thunder storms Sunday afternoon. Nothing severe, though gusty winds and heavy rain likely.

Forecast:
