Weather: Cooling Off Just a Tad (6/13 AM)

Amanda's Forecast Discussion

Good morning!

Although still fairly warm on Tuesday, it's far from record-breaking thanks to a weak cold front sagging south. That temp tops out in the low 80s with the slight chance for a stray shower or storm. Otherwise, most are dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Light south wind 5-10 mph. Tonight, mostly clear. low 50s.

Wednesday and Thursday, ridging takes hold. If you're not a fan of the heat, these days will feel absolutely wonderful; very refreshing. Wednesday, we reach the upper 60s to low 70s; Thursday, mid to upper 70s. Expect plenty of sunshine both days with a light north wind, shifting to out of the south.

Thursday night into Friday, a somewhat busier weather pattern begins to unfold. There will be scattered rain throughout the day on Friday. There is some disagreement between major models over timing; it could rain as soon as Thursday night or hold off until Friday afternoon. Either way, there is not big severe weather threat as we wrap up the work week and head into the weekend. A couple of isolated storms are possible Saturday, but Sunday is the day to watch for some stronger storms and potentially torrential downpours. Low 80s throughout this stretch.

Have an awesome Tuesday!
