Weather: Drying Out For Fireworks (7/3 AM)

Amanda's Forecast Discussion

Good morning!

After one last round of rain rolled through Sunday night, we're drier heading into the holiday. Monday, it's a mix of sun and clouds you'll find overhead with a top temp in the mid to upper 70s. It might start to feel a bit muggy in broader, warmer valleys where that temp crawls toward 80°. The dew point temperature here hits the mid to upper 50s. But, there's a west breeze at 5-15 mph that should keep the air moving around and make it a tad more comfortable. Tonight, upper 50s to around 60° under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday, the Fourth of July, mostly sunny with another round of upper 70s to near 80°. Northwest wind 5-10 mph. Wednesday, also mostly sunny with a temp reaching around 80°.

Showers return late Thursday, as the high pressure ridge from the first half of the week slides east. Scattered rain lingers into Friday and possibly even Saturday, but compared to May and June, it's hardly a washout. Dry again by Sunday.

Enjoy those fireworks!
