Weather: Drying & Warming (5/22/2017)

Monday's showers are gradually ending, if they haven't stopped for you already. Overnight into Tuesday, areas of fog will form as temperatures drop into the 40s low 50s.The fog will thin gradually during the morning and set the stage for a pretty nice looking Tuesday. Expect partly sunny skies with highs close to 70° Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday night, we stay calm and quiet with partly cloudy skies and lows in the low 50s.

Wednesday, we get warmer and stay mainly dry. I say 'mainly' because there will be enough moisture around to squeeze out a few light showers. Most stay dry and comfortably warm with highs in the middle & upper 70s. Wednesday night & Thursday our next storm arrives. It'll bring widespread rain to the entire northeast through Friday. Highs will be in the upper 60s & low 70s with lows in the 40s & 50s.

Memorial Day weekend starts great! Saturday will be partly sunny with highs in the low 70s. Sunday, things start to change a bit. I don't foresee any big problems for the Vermont City Marathon. The race starts at 7, temperatures will be in the mid 50s, to near 60°. Afternoon highs jump into the mid 70s but we'll have more clouds and isolated showers. At this point, rain looks light and isolated. It shouldn't be a washout. Memorial Day, we likely won't be so likely. At the very least we'll be dealing with scattered rain and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder.

Have a great week!
