Weather: Finally Some Sunshine Monday (11/28 AM)

Amanda's Forecast Discussion

Good morning!

After a dreary, overcast weekend, sunshine returns Monday! There will still be some stubborn clouds overhead, we'll call it a 'partly sunny' day, but it's a better shot at blue sky than we've seen in several days. It will still be very cool, though, with a high temp in the 30s. Light and variable wind.

Tonight through Tuesday morning, clouds increase as a strong warm front approaches. Rain will spread from southwest to northeast throughout the day Tuesday. While there is a chance we'll get things started Tuesday morning with a wintry mix causing some slick conditions in the Adirondacks, Green Mountains and eastern Vermont, warmer air surging in will change that to rain very quickly.

It will be a steady, widespread, cold rain totaling around 0.5-1.0" across southern Vermont and southern New Hampshire, to 0.25-0.5" for northern New York and northern Vermont.

Wednesday, we're in between two systems with cloudy skies and possibly a couple of scattered showers. High temp Wednesday, upper 40s to low 50s! Widespread rain is back by Wednesday night into Thursday.

Into the weekend, we're back in familiar territory with our pattern remaining somewhat unsettled...meaning low, gray clouds with the occasional rain or snow shower. High temps Saturday and Sunday, upper 30s.

Have a wonderful day!
