It's a soggy start to Friday as a cold front continues to slide from west to east across the region. Behind the front? Expect plenty of sunshine this afternoon and evening!
Friday morning's showers are mainly light to moderate, with a few hundredths to a few tenths of an inch of rain expected. Aside from rain, there will be a few areas of valley fog and overcast skies.
Throughout the day, clouds will quickly clear from the northwest as drier air moves in behind the front. The commute home from work will have you breaking out the shades! And if you're ducking out of work early to hit the opening afternoon of the Champlain Valley Fair, it's perfect timing! Temperatures reach the mid 80s, but dew points decrease throughout the day so it won't feel all that muggy. Light northwest wind 5-10 mph.
Saturday is a gorgeous day with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.
On Sunday, expect a good deal of sunshine early, but also increasing clouds. High temps reach the low 80s. By Sunday afternoon, we may be dodging a few sprinkles; showers become more numerous Sunday evening and overnight. Even then, we're not looking at a big soaking.
Have a fantastic weekend!
