Weather: Quiet End to the Week, Soggy Weekend (5/11 AM)

Amanda's Forecast Discussion

Good morning!

It's a quiet end to the work week with temps running just slightly below average and a mix of sun and clouds overhead both Thursday and Friday. Nighttime temps drop to the 40s, while daytime numbers top out in the upper 50s to low 60s. It may not be horizon-to-horizon blue sky, but at least we're a tad drier with only a slight chance for a brief drizzle from any of those clouds.

This weekend, widespread rain returns. Clouds will increase Friday night into Saturday morning as a disturbance moves east from the northern Great Lakes and another low intensifies scooting up the coastline from the south. Widespread rain kicks off south to north on Saturday and continues into Sunday. Rain may be heavy at times, with some spots seeing 1" to 3" of rain by the time Monday rolls around. Monday, showers taper off slowly. Weekend temps run from around 60° during the day, to the mid 40s at night.

Have a fabulous day!
