Torrance's Forecast: - Another day, another similar forecast. At least today is Friday, that is a bit of good news! Other good news is summer like temperatures will return by the end of the weekend. For today we are looking at a near repeat of Thursday's forecast, because of cooler daytime highs and cloud cover. The reason for the unsettled weather? A stationary front stretches from west to east across the northeast, allowing for low pressure systems to ride along the stalled front. What can we expect for Friday? More clouds than sun across majority of the region, this will also impact out daytime highs. With an expansive area of clouds, daytime highs will struggle to hit the low 70s. But just to the west of the Adirondack Mountains and Saint Lawrence River Valley will see a bit more sun, which will help to fuel a few afternoon storms. Any pop-up thunderstorms will be on the weak side. Tonight into the early hours of Saturday we will see similar conditions to Thursday night, clouds, spot showers, and isolated valley fog.
Saturday morning a few isolated showers will linger, but the afternoon hours are featuring more sunshine and highs returning to the upper 70s. Dewpoints will still be in the low 60s, meaning it will feel a tad muggy outside. Sunday we are mostly dry to start with a isolated afternoon shower or weak thunderstorm. Seasonable temperatures finally return to the low 80s.
Looking ahead to next week the forecast stays active with isolated to scattered rain Monday and Tuesday. These days will not be washouts, just more of a nuisance than anything. With that, seasonable temperatures in the low 80s. Wednesday has been trending on the dry side, and looks to be the driest day of next week.
