Happy Thanksgiving all!
Heading out to do some Christmas shopping tonight? No problems, mild overnight lows for the most part in the low to mid 40's with breezy winds from the south 15-25 mph... and Friday will top out in the mid to upper 50's! Average for this time of year is 41° so very mild but enjoy it because we have a change in the wind coming. Friday afternoon between noon and 3pm expect the first scattered showers to move in from the northwest and the wind will slowly transition out of the north. With the cooler air sinking into the area rain will transition over to snow after sunset across the region making for slick roadways. We aren't expect much accumulation, above 1500' should see a dusting with the peaks seeing near an inch. Saturday will start out with clouds and remaining snow showers but will be clearing into the afternoon hours though it will be a chilly day with highs in the upper 30's. Sunshine will be the main story for Sunday into this upcoming Tuesday with highs in the upper 30's to low 40's.
