Friday night, temperatures continue to fall. Skies are clear and the air is dry, we'll wake up to lows in the upper 40s & low 50s in most spots. However, parts of the NEK & Adirondacks will fall into the upper 30s! Not frosty but definitely a little chilly. The one thing you'll have to be careful of is patchy fog, especially near rivers.
The fog may be a little stubborn to thin Saturday morning but by the afternoon we're all mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s & low 70s. Sunday will be exactly the same. If your plans take you to the Champlain Valley Fair you can't go wrong with the weather either day. Over the weekend it will feel more like the 10 best days of fall rather than the 10 best days of summer, but no complaints are coming from me! :-)
If you want warmer weather, we'll get it Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. Expect lots of sun with highs in the middle & upper 70s; lows will be in the low to mid 50s. Our next shot at showers comes with a weak cold front Thursday. As a friendly reminder, next Friday is September 1 and the first day of fall is September 22. I wouldn't call it staggering or shocking but it's definitely eye opening when you look at how our average highs & lows drop from September 1(76°) to September 30 (64°). Also, Thursday night's sunset is 7:43pm. By September 30th, the sun will go down at 6:35pm.
Have a great weekend!
