Winooski now has a draft of it's Master Transportation Plan.
After months of public input, the city has zeroed in on a few improvement areas. The Onion City will focus on creating safe and connected sidewalks for pedestrians.
It also plans to improve on street parking and the city's bicycle network along the Winooski Bridge.
"We're looking for a bicycle path that gets everybody to the point where they can cross the river and get into Burlington, that's our main focus," says Peter Wernsdorfer, Director of Winooski's Public Works Department.
The cost of improvements to the bridge will run around $500,000.
