Albert Ramos Wins First-Ever Stowe Mountain Lodge Classic

STOWE, Vt. - The 24th ranked player in the world takes momentum with him to the U.S. Open following a victory in Stowe Mountain Lodge Classic championship match.

Albert Ramos Viñolas, a Spaniard, defeated France's Jeremy Chardy 7-5, 2-6, 11-9 in the final, improving to 3-0 on the week.

Following the victory, Ramos said, "It was a great week for not just me for other players, we enjoyed it a lot. We had great days here and I think it is an amazing place and hopefully I will be very happy if the next years I can come back and i can keep playing this tournament."

Plans for the exhibition tournament to return to Stowe are in the works for years to come, but not yet confirmed.
