Jericho, VT -- The Bliss family is synonymous with Vermont wrestling. MMU freshman Daniel Bliss is doing all he can to live up to that legacy.

"Definitely I always strive to be the best I can be and live up to the family name." said Bliss.

It wasn't always easy for Daniel. The pressure almost overtook him.

"Well, I've really always wanted to wrestle." Daniel said. "But a couple of years ago about 7th grade I was starting to feel quite a bit of pressure. My brother and all of them, they're really good so I started to feel that I wasn't that great."

Little does Daniel know, his older brother and state champion Ben thinks that Daniel might be the best Bliss to hit the mat.

"I didn't win states my freshmen year. He will. He's good." said the older brother Ben. "It gives me a good practice partner too. He really pushes me and I push him so that makes us both better."

Daniel has lofty goals for his freshman year.

"I definitely want to win New England's." said the MMU freshman. "That's a big all time goal for me. For this year I really want to win states. That's my goal for this year."

"He'll be in a good position to do better things than I did." predicted Ben.

And as if there weren't enough wrestling Blisses already, Ben and Daniel say to wait till we see their little brother Luke.

"Just wait until you see my little brother Luke, he's a beast!" Ben said.
